Thanksgiving - who is really thanking in retail America!

In the last few years the holiday sales... especially during thanksgiving have reached such a frenzied, feverish pitch... that you can actually find people camping outside the stores! Braving the cold, miserable, unearthly hours; casting away all the sleep that they can muster!

You would imagine to see a similar situation (staying out in the cold, in the line, desperately waiting for the doors to open), in other countries - outside shelters, outside soup kitches... no, not here! Retail America has managed to turn around rather quickly because the money is moving via easy plastic!

With all the hoarding I see in garages and homes, I'm not sure when the people will realize that they need to buy things they "NEED" and not everything that they "WANT"!!
