1 Microsoft Way... No way!!!!

Picture this... Ur little toddler attending school in the kindergaten comes home to see you all flustered and unable to continue using the word processor on your Windows based machine (Why Windows?.... we'll come to that later!)Your toddler manages to point out the problem areas, guide you into overcoming that obstacle and who knows... throws in a few "best usage tips" too! Sounds unreal... go tell that to the parents of kids in the kindergarten @ Redmond! Redmond, Redmond, Redmond!!! .... sounds a bell? It should... That is the place Microsoft "practically" owns :)

The point being... I got the opportunity to visit my niece's school in Redmond..... Gizmo heaven for the kiddos... that would be a better way of putting it! Like I said.. Microsoft practically owns Redmond/Seattle etc, so there you go!

The "kinders" (as the dutch call the kids), have to themselves:
a couple of networked workstations; Movie players, DVD, VHS and computer... all hooked up to a projector.... that projects onto a tablet... usually used in engineering firms! The tablet is touch sensitive to special stylii and has an interface which feeds to the computer based on the projected image and input from the stylii; hold on... the list does not end there! Read further on... internet access and a pretty well equiped home theater styled sound system! The curriculum includes teaching the kids how to use the word processor, create and edit tables in MS Word!
Hey!!!! Hold your horses..... & everything else!!! How many of you out there can reaaly create a table in MS Word????? See... thats why your kindergarten kid..... especially if in Redmond... will definitely be able to take up that coveted Editor's job!

That apart, the lil tykes have all the usual stuff a kindergarten class should have! Not only do they come out all educated.. they come prepared for the "REAL" world out there!!!

All you free/open source companies... BEWARE...... Microsoft is preparing for the next generation........
